In July 2006 BACC were invited to deliver an activity evening at Halesworth Middle School in Suffolk. The event had many other organisations in attendance, which included the Fire Service, Paramedics, Police, sports groups and many others.
BACC encouraged youngsters and adults to have a go at basic angling skills like knot trying, using a discorger and other general skills.
Over 60 people filled out an activity fishing survey stating their level of angling knowledge and their interest in future coaching activities.
EA provided booklets, key rings and animal masks as promotional materials. A prize of an elasticated whip was on offer in a prize draw, which saw one really pleased youngster glad he attended the evening.
