This is a picture of the new toilet and shower block, with the Middle Pit situated on the lefthandside. This picture was taken on the 31st of July, with the outside looking completed. I have yet to find out if they have been fitted out, or when they will be done.
The Toilet/Shower Block is going to be state of the art building. It is having 2 concrete ramps that will meet on a flat top section at the doors, which will be approx' 1 metre wide. The Toilet/Shower Block is being fitted out with hand rails, making it completely equipped for disabled use. The floor has just been laid, and has been fitted for a heated floor. The very first door from the left will have fitted unit with 2 sinks, allowing campers to do washing up of utensils; and will have a boiler room. The second room will be the Women's Section, and will have a Mirror. And the right door are the Men's shower block, both consisting of a power shower, fully tiled, and 2 toilets. The roof will be Solar panelled, and will be able to support a percentage of the energy needs of the building. Outside on the far right end of the building, there is a waste sink for chemicals and another for waste water, and an outside tap. Completion is a while away yet. |
