Description: A shallow and heavily weeded venue which is best approached with light lines, small hooks and guile. Prolific weed growth during the summer is to be expected, but for those that take the time and effort to clear a patch are often rewarded with the larger Roach and Rudd.

Lodden Lakes Rules:

PLEASE NOTE NO DOGS ALLOWED AT THE COMPLEX

PLEASE BE AWARE THERE ARE CAMERAS IN OPERATION ON THE LAKES AND YOUR ACTIONS COULD BE BEING FILMED AT ALL TIMES!

You will require the GATE CODE which is on your welcomimg email when you joined.

1. Fishing is for MEMBERS ONLY. A member may however invite one guest at a time to fish with him /her for an additional fee ( Please see attachment for current fees). LODDEN GATE LOCK MAY BE OBTAINED BY VISTING OUR WEBSITE www.gillinghamanglingclub.co.uk

2. Each angler BEFORE FISHING must have a club membership for either Gillingham & District Angling Association or Sturminster & Hinton Angling Association. You must also purchase a Loddon Lakes season or day ticket before you can fish. You will also need an Environment Agency ( Rod) Licence.

3. Day ticket fishing is from sunrise to one hour after sunset.

4. Night fishing is allowed on either lake subject to the following conditions.

5.a. Night Fishing at Lodden Lakes requires a Season Night Permit, which is an additional fee to the normal Loddon Lakes Day Season Ticket. They must be purchased for the Season, They cannot be bought for specific nights. Anyone caught fishing at night without a season night permit will be banned from the complex.

b. NO FIRES on site at all.

c. Use the provided toilet.



6. Day permits - Senior /OAP Junior fees please see attachment). Season Tickets - Senior (Night Seasonn tickets (includes O.A.P. or Junior) Please see attachment.

7. NO RADIOS, although personal Headsets are permitted.

8. Fish from designated pegs only.

Recommendation :- No Fish To Be Kept in Keep nets for a period of more than six hours.

9. No Carp Sacks to be used. Carp over 5lb to be returned immediately.

10. Juniors under 14yrs must be accompanied by an adult. (over 18, not necessarily a member).

11. Leave NO LITTER and PICK UP any you SEE.

12. Foul language, bad behaviour and contravention of rule 10 will mean automatic suspension.

13. No baited tackle is to be left unattended, either in the water or out, especially crust, anyone seen with wildfowl on their line will be severely dealt with and then suspended from the club.

14. Parking is at owners risk. Lock up your vehicles. No Bikes to be ridden round the lakes.

15. One non fishing guest per member fishing may accompany them.

16. Maximum 2 rods per angler during the day. 3 at night , barbless hooks only to be used.

17. In matches 2 nets must be used. 1 for Carp & 1 for Silver fish.

18. Respect bank side vegetation & wild life.

19. Members shall not be accompanied by a dog when fishing.

20. Fish must be returned to the same lake they were caught from . NO transfer of fish.

Bailiffs to report to the committee on contravention of above rules and a ban can be imposed.
