Rules and Regulations:
No dogs allowed on site. All anglers/guests should have some kind of seat. No keepnets (matches excluded). Litter must be taken home. No tins allowed on the bank sides. Under 16's have to be supervised at all times. You must be in possession of a valid E.A. rod licence before fishing. All nets being used as well as unhooking mats must be dipped and dried in direct light before approaching a peg. Landing nets should be used on all fish. Please handle fish with care and return them to the water immediately, do not use cloths or rags to handle the fish. Keep all vehicles off grassed areas at all times and obey the one way system. Only 1 non fishing guest per angler/group. Bait: No floating bait (a minimum of 8" below the surface). Banned baits - fake baits, dog and cat meat, boilies, nuts and seeds, bloodworm, jokers, hemp, floating baits. Feed pellets - Candy Corner pellet for feeding only. Hook pellet - any type of soft hook pellet may be used. Sweetcorn - 1 can 300g per session. Luncheon Meat - 1 can 300g per session. Paste - permitted Other baits - Maggots, castor, sinking bread punch,worm, prawn, cockles, mussels and cheese are allowed. Groundbait:- AJ's lake - 2 kilo max per match, cupped or feeders only. Hosker's Lake - No groundbait. Jakes and BA's Pools - Feeders only. *Left over baits should not be thrown in the lakes, it should be taken home. Tackle and Equipment Requirements: Barbless hooks only. No braid. 1 rod or pole only. No fixed or elasticated feeders, use beads and ensure they are free running. Feeders and bombs hook lengths should be a minimum of 12", pole rigs a minimum of 8" from float. Max pole length is 14.5 metres. No floating poles. A float must be present on all fishing lines excluding bomb and feeder type methods. 2 keepnets required as a minimum for matches, one for 4lb and above the other for 4lb and under. Max of 60lb per keepnet. Extra nets available for rent. Offenders will be barred from the fishery Open Match Rules All above rules apply with the exception or addition to the following:- No Bread ALL nets to be dipped prior to paying on. Keepnets are then to be laid out behind your peg for 30 minutes in direct light so as much UV can kill off nasties, 15 mins before the start of the match nets can go in. Weights over 60lb per net will not count towards your final weight. No deliberate effort to disturb or make a splash in the water should be made, this includes pole slapping or tapping in open water and reed or bush whacking. This does not include pole rig slapping. No dabbing, dobbing or mugging, fish should be caught with the pole float in the water, lifting or dropping in front of fish is not allowed and suspending baits to mug fish will get you barred. All vehicles and fishing equipment is the responsibility of the visitor and must be covered on their own insurance, Candy Corner Fisheries will not accept any responsibility for loss or damage. ALL clubs are responsible for taking away their own litter after fishing; clubs leaving behind litter will be prevented from further bookings. ALL clubs please obey the onsite one way road system and stay off all grassed areas, clubs and individuals that choose to ignore this will be limited to car park areas ONLY. Health and Safety: Please note you must conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times You must park and drive to the restrictions identified on the site notices You must wear sensible footwear at all times In the event of an accident or incident to yourself you must fill in an accident form before leaving the site, or nominate an agent to do it for you In the event of finding a fire or someone in the water you must sound the alarm triangles, these are situated around all of our lakes alongside life ring stations Should you or anyone else require first aid the owner can supply a first aid box, please be aware that no staff on site can administer first aid. You or your match organiser should make arrangements for this The health and safety policy and risk assessment are available on site for your inspection. Please be aware that all clubs or syndicates should have and be responsible for their own Public Liability Insurance.. |
