Here is a picture of Mark T Masicampo with the Common Carp weighing 14lb12oz and the setup. A Avet SXj-reel, GLoomis GL2-rod, 50 lb. Pro Braid mainline, with 10lb braid for the leader, fly-lined(no weight). Corn Tortilla for bait, on a #2 hook. This fish was "tailing" in the shallows, so I was sight fishing(Stalking), and fly-lining Tortilla bait right in his path, and it took. Caught at Atascadero Lake, Atascadero, California, USA.

1763 viewsHere is a picture of Aaron Standen with his catch, a 19lb Snapper, which he caught at 2pm on Saturday the 23rd of April 2011 at Te Kaha, on the East Coast of the North Island, New Zealand. The weather was not great, so we were fishing in 15-20 meters of water just off shore. We had been fishing 4 miles off shore, but came in close because of the weather conditions, only being in a 16ft boat. We were stray lining big baits, and this fish took a half a fillet of skipjack tuna (bonito).

1762 viewsHere is the Biggest Common Carp that I have caught at Fendicks, although my scales said 14lb4oz, it was more like 18lb+, everyone that see the fish said it was much bigger than what the scales said, and a few weeks later I caught my PB Mirror Carp weighing 17lb at another fishery, that weighed 14lb4oz also, so I tried some other scales and they read 17lb, so this is how I know the Fendicks Common Carp is really my Biggest. It does not look that big, until you see it takes 3 squares on my unhooking mat, come and see how big my mat is next time you see me, then you will know just how big it was. Caught by me ghetto_uk
