Fishery Rules:

An Environment Agency rod licence must be shown on demand and its regulations complied with.

Only established swims can be fished - the vegetation between swims must not be disturbed or damaged.

No more than two rods per person may be used at any time - rods must no be left unattended.

All tackle and litter must be removed from the Country Park.

The use of keep nets is prohibited on Priory Lake between June 16th and October 31st. The minimum length of keep net is 3 meters. Barbel, Carp and Pike nust not be retained in a keep net.

All fish must be returned to the water.

The use of lead under one ounce is prohibited.

Day fishing is only allowed between the hours of dawn and dusk, otherwise a night fishing permit is required.

Only barbless or semi-barbed hooks are permitted (single barbed treble hooks may be used for dead bait) - all lure hooks must be barbless.

Lure fishing is only permitted where there are vacant swims either side.

The use of freshwater fish for bait (dead or alive) is prohibited - dead sea fish baits only.

A close season operates from March 15th to June 15th.
