| Description: Gold Lake has 45 pegs with many different environments, from open water pegs for the big carpers to the peaceful and sheltered areas where you can fish to the islands up to 11 meters away where fishing the pellet waggler shallow or pole shallow/ on the deck, Gold really does cater for all styles of fishing and is sure to provide you with a fantastic days fishing along with the welcoming atmosphere from our frequent visiting members.
Gold Lake fishes well all year round and is stocked with a range of species. Carp up to 22 lbs (it is stocked with a large amount of carp between 10lbs to 20lbs), Tench up to 6lbs and Barbel up to 5lbs, lots of perch up to 4lbs, chub and full of silverfish including ide of good sizes, the perfect days fishing for all levels of anglers. With a Gold membership you have unlimited fishing on Gold Lake and on all of our other waters that are available (not if in use for a match) including our Carp lake Holbar (except in the summer months at the weekend due to high demand) all included in the price of the annual membership. Membership can be paid in 12 monthly instalments by standing order for £40 a month or up front at the discounted rate of £420 for the full years membership. One of the main attractions of Gold Lake is that as a fishery, in the summer months at the weekend, we can get very busy on our day ticket waters and Gold Lake offers the opportunity to always have a fantastic peg to fish off no matter what time you get out of bed on a sunny Sunday in August as we limit the number of members! To sign up for an annual Gold Membership pass please pop into our fishery office with two passport sized photos, general personal information such as address, contact number etc and if you would like to pay monthly, please bring your bank details (account number and sort code) and the address of the bank at which your card is registered to so we can set up the standing order! Since the Fishery has re opened after the UK lockdown we are experiencing high demand to join our Gold Membership so there is a currently a waiting list, to join the list contact the office on 07469 981743, unfortunately at this time we can not specify how long the wait will be as we must limit the number of members to ensure the lake doesn't become overcrowded. |

Fishery Rules General Fishery Rukes: All Juniors under 16 years MUST be accompanied by an Adult at all times. Strictly no night fishing. No dogs allowed. Must have a valid EA Rod License. No Keep Nets. Maximum Barbless Hook size 14. 2 Rods maximum per Peg (3 on Holbar see below). No Braided Lines. In-line method feeders only. No Elasticated Methods except for Guru X-Safe. No Fixed Rigs. No braided line. Bait Bans: No Nuts, No Cat or Dog Food, No Bloodworm or Jokers. No Floating Baits. No artificial baits. Ground Bait 2 kilo per peg limit. No Boilies Except for Holbar (2 kilo per peg Limit). Match Rules: Barbless Hooks Only. 14s Maximum Hook Size. Above bait bans apply. In-line method feeders only. No Elasticated Methods except for Guru X-Safe system. 8 pint bait limit per Match. 2 Kilo Ground Bait (In addition to the 8 Pints above). Two keepnets, or more, must be used from the start in all Matches. All keepnets to be placed drying on the bank behind your peg and not put in the water until 15 minutes before start of match. A 66lb limit in each net with fish distributed evenly between nets. No swinging fish in, a landing net must be used for every fish. No bait to be thrown in after the Match. Bait Bins are Provided. No pole cups over the water before all in. No fishing over aerator ropes. Match official decisions are final. Offenders will be disqualified. Gardening Rules: You may trim any vegetation above the water's surface, but do not pull any vegetation out of the water. No cleaning of the lake bed before the start of the match. Please gather trimmed vegetation neatly on the bank. If there is loose trimming from bailiff works, you may scoop it out with your landing net. Holbar Lake Rules: Barbless Hooks only (no crimped or de-barbed hooks). No hooks larger than size 6 barbless. No fixed leads they must be easy to eject if the fish becomes snagged. No braided hooklinks. Coated braid ie: Korda NTrap is acceptable, as are mono hooklinks. No braided mainlines (except on marker and spod rods). Leadcore and Korda Dark Matter leaders are allowed but must be set up safely so the lead or hooklink can release if breakage occurs. Rig Tubing is allowed. HOLBAR BAIT BANS Ground bait 2kg limit.
