Description: Yew Tree Fisheries is 1 mile outside the picturesque village of Thornton Hough.

This fishery, created by an angler and was opened as day ticket water in the summer of 2009 and run to the highest standards possible.

Yew Tree Fishery consists of 2 well stocked lakes. The larger being of approximately 1 acre has 26 pegs with ample room for all types of fishing.

It contains plenty of Tench between 4 and 10 lb. and a good head of Carp to 24 lb. There are also double figure Cats, Barbel and Bream up to 7lb. All the usual silver fish, Rudd, Roach, Skimmers, Ide are also there.

The smaller well established lake of approximately 1/4 of an acre, and has 8 well spaced pegs. It contains the same as the large lake but with a bigger variety of carp up to 10lb.

Sat and Sun 9am to Dusk.

Normal Opening On Bank Holidays.

Day tickets must be purchased before fishing from the office.

Max size 10 - barbless hooks only.

No braided main Line.

Random end tackle checks.

No keep nets unless in matches.

No floating baits.

Do not leave rods unattended at any time.

No trout pellets.

Groundbait in moderation.

No running around lakes.

Fishing from designated pegs only.

No changing pools without permission.

No standing up with fish.

All anglers are encouraged to use unhooking mats.

Please use landing net when returning fish to the water.

No anglers under the age of 14 unless accompanied by an adult.

Anyone not complying with these rules will be asked to leave.
