Situated in the stunning, peaceful Cornish countryside Bake Lakes provides that quiet, 'get away from it all' just a few minutes away from Trerulefoot roundabout on the main A38 road between Saltash and Liskeard. First class coarse or specimen fishing in a wide variety of settings suitable for the expert and beginner alike, on site tackle and bait shop, qualified and licenced tuition in coarse fishing; it's all available at Bake Lakes. Home to a wide variety of birds, wildfowl, mammals and the two rarest dragonflies in the country, Bake Lakes is a wonderful place to combine a day's fishing with bird watching and, if you are lucky on a summers day, a sighting of a Lesser Emperor or Red Veined Darter Dragonfly among the Emperors, Common Darters and Black Tailed Skimmers that abound along the margins of the waterside. Kingfishers are seen daily; often feeding in the lakes from the branches of a waterside willow or alder and we are visited by foxes, badgers and the occasional deer. The winter brings in more varieties of wildfowl and Bake Lakes is often a temporary home for a lost and rare visitor. Rules: You must have a EA rod licence to fish these waters (Can be purchased from the on site shop). Caesars Palace Specimen Lake Rules: You must have an Environment Agency rod licence to fish this lake. No rods to be left unattended. Maximum 3 rods per angler ( 2 rod licences needed). No surface fishing. No fixed leads, all leads must be detachable. Minimum hook size 10, Maximum hook size 4. Barbless or Micro barb only. No leadcore line. No braided mainline, braid allowed for spod/marker only. You may only fish from your swim. Landing nets must be dry before use and minimum size 36". Large unhooking mats or cradles must be used. No artificial baits larger than a grain of corn. No keepnets/Carp sacks. Minimum Line strength 10lb, Max 20lb. Carp rods only with a rod test curve 2lb minimum. No fires/BBQ's. No under 16's allowed. All rubbish must be placed in the bin bag provided When photographing fish they must be taken kneeling down over a mat/cradle and the fish returned as quickly as possible. Coarse Fishing: Maximum of two rods may be used. Anglers must remain close to, and in control of rods whilst there is a baited rod in use. Barbless Hooks only to be used; no crushed barbs or micro barbed hooks (Max size 6). No nuts of any kind may be used as bait. Artifical baits can be used up to the size of a grain of corn, nothing bigger. No bubble floats, controllers only. Drag must be set appropriately. No fixed leads or bolt rigs. All Nets not belonging to the fishery must be dry before use. Keep Nets should not be used on any lake in hot weather. No Fires or barbecues are to be lit on the fishery. All litter should be collected and either placed in one of the bins provided or taken home. No fishing line to be discarded on the Fishery. No anti-social behaviour will be tolerated. Dogs should be kept on leads, their droppings collected and removed from the Fishery - not placed in the litter bins or left to be collected by Fishery Staff. All fish should be returned as quickly as possible, Photographs are permitted but you must be kneeling down with a mat placed underneath the fish. Under no circumstances are fish to be removed from the lakes, this not breaks the fishery rules but the Environment Agency rules as well. Luxor Lake Special Rules No Fixed Leads to be used. No bubble floats, controllers only. 1 kilo of groundbait per day session. No braided mainline and max line strength 15lb. A suitable Landing Net must be used to land fish. No Keep Nets at any time unless authorised by the Management. An unhooking mat must be used. Fish should be properly 'played out' before being landed to avoid damage to their mouths. Audible bite alarms should be turned down to minimum to avoid interference with other Anglers. Please read 'Code of Conduct' for playing and handling big fish - available at the Fishery. Any Angler disregarding these rules will be asked to pack up their gear and leave the Fishery. All fish should be returned as quickly as possible, Photographs are permitted but you must be kneeling down with a mat placed underneath the fish.
