Description: Cogra Moss is a 40 acre naturalised reservoir which overlooks the Solway Plain from it's idyllic setting near Lamplugh. This is the best stocked game stillwater in west Cumbria, well managed - and well stocked by Cockermouth Angling Association with good quality rainbows. The average size of the fish is over a pound and a half with a fair sprinkling of larger specimens to 8lbs. Wild brown trout are also present and can reach a good size with fish in the 2-3lb bracket landed each year.

The water fishes well to imitative patterns and dries especially in late spring and early summer when the ever present breeze carries plenty of terrestrials on to the water. Access is possible all around the fishery and in places there are a number of constructed platforms - some of which raise serious questions of access!
