Description: The fishing lake is right beside the cottages and has a level path around it . It is approximately one acre in size and between 12 and 18 feet deep. It is spring fed.

Fishing is exclusive to guests staying in the cottages.

A good tackle and bait shop is not far away.

The lake is well stocked with Common and Mirror carp to a good weight plus excellent Roach and Bream. There are also ide, Rudd and Tench.

Fishery Rules:

Barbless hooks only.

NO ground bait, keep nets or night fishing.

NO bivvies/tents (umbrellas are OK).

Maximum of two rods per person.

Please bring in tackle etc. at night.

Please take care of the path and banks - slippery and fragile!

Do not go down to the river.

Usually effective baits are:-

Sweet corn, luncheon meat, bread, boilers, dog biscuits and maggots

Please report any injured fish.
