Description: There are two lakes at this venue which is on the outskirts of Killarmarsh near Sheffield. Based on farmland, the settings are nice and peaceful, although a little exposed to the elements and when the wind does get up you will know about it. Work has been undertaken on building facilities for the Anglers, namely a car park, refreshment building and toilets. You walk across grass areas to get to the furthest lake, which are quite flat. Most of the pegs are grassed. As such anglers with disabilities may wish to have company if visiting the venue to assist.

Although only a little over 6 years old, the waters popularity continues to grow with both pleasure and match anglers alike. If travelling any distance it is wise to give them a ring to ensure there are pegs available.

The first pond that you come to is used primarily as a stock pond and is not fished all that often, although it does feature most of the fish that can be found in the match lake.

Larger than the stock pond, the match water features 2 islands which are fish holding features on the water. Due to their position many of the pegs have access to them without the fear of crossing other anglers lines. The locals advocate following the warm wind as the fish will move about the water, especially during the warmer months.

There are 34 well spaced pegs on this water, and most would probably benefit from marginal planting. Despite this the lake is well stocked with mainly Carp. The originally stocked fished have done well with many in the 3 to 5lb bracket. There are a few fish that run to 12lb. A further 800 odd stockie Carp were added in 2004. These are featuring in most sessions now, and Pellet is the choice bait. You can set your stall out for larger fish with bigger baits such as corn and meat. There are some very good Bream to 7lb and can be match winners when they turn up. Along with Tench to 4lb 8oz these will take corn, worm and meat. There are also stocks of Roach and Perch with better fish to 3/4lb and also quite a lot of Gudgeon that will take maggot fished on the bottom.
