Description: Pride Lake. This Lake which is also a former gravel pit covers approximately 18 acres water area. The area around the lake has been landscaped and set with trees. The lake varies in depth from 22 feet to 2 or 3 feet in the margins with the average depth at ten metres from the bank being 8 feet. This water is now exclusivly for the use of the Premium Ticket Holders.
The lake is used almost exclusively by Carp Anglers. The Carp range from 14lbs to 41.5 lbs. A good numbers of pristine 30lbs + common carp are highly sort after on this lake. The lake also contains a decent number of large bream up to 16lbs in weight.
Access is very good with parking areas around two sides of the lake, the banks are very safe since the pits once completed were graded down a fine slope to the full water depth. The location is in the Sawley area with vehicular access to the parking areas ( suitable for disabled or infirm anglers in the areas nearest to the parking areas).
