Description: Privates Pond

Privates pond (sometimes referred to as roadside pond) is probably the most well known of the Stanton waters, due to the fact that it is so visible. The car park is situated on Quarry Hill Road just down from the bulls head pub. Widely regarded as one of the most picturesque ponds in the local area, Privates is truly a beautiful place to fish all year round.

Privates is notoriously very deep, rumored to be between 25ft to 30ft in the centre. Because of its depth it can be very cold and extremely challenging to fish in the winter time.

The depth of the pond makes float fishing the margins one of the best methods, with ledger and feeder being dominant towards the middle of the open water.
