This 2 acre lake, has rapidly built a reputation for super, hard fighting fish.

With a stock of around 300 Carp to 27 lb+,

including Grassies to 21 lb+,

and 31 Wels Catfish to 46 lbs.

Prebooking and 24hr+ prepayment required.

Prebooked/Prepaid Night Fishing allowed.

Catfish N' Carp Lake Rules:

If there is anything you do not understand, please ask!

Any infringement of these Rules

may result in you being asked to leave the Fishery.

No refund will be given.

We are a family friendly Fishery,

foul language or bad behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.

Pre-booking is essential for all Anglers sessions on this Lake.

You must not enter the Lake to fish if you have not done so.

Prepayment is required at the time of booking.

Strictly no entry to the Fishery before 7.00 am.

All Anglers on a day permit are expected to visit our shop

when it opens at 9.00am to purchase their ticket.

Day permit Anglers should have left before dusk.

Please note that we do not sell night only permits.

One non-fishing guest is welcome.

If they wish to stay overnight a £5 camping fee will be charged.

No under 10's are allowed to stay overnight.

No under 16's are allowed without a responsible Adult.

BEFORE FISHING - ALL NETS, MATS, CRADLES, ETC.

MUST BE TOTALLY DRY

Direct sunlight is the best way to dry your equipment

and help prevent disease.

All Anglers must have and use a minimum 36" landing net

and a large well padded unhooking mat or cradle.

These are available from our shop.

If you do not have them you cannot fish this Lake.

The Lake is rod and line only.

A maximum of 2 Rods per Angler.

No braided mainline.

No sacking of fish.

If fishing specifically for Wels Catfish, please use a minimum 15 lb line.

All fish must be returned quickly and carefully.

Photo's of fish must only be taken kneeling down.

NO LIVE BAITING! Except maggots or worms.

ONLY DEADBAITS PURCHASED FROM OUR SHOP ARE PERMITTED.

NO LURE FISHING! MAXIMUM SIZE 6 BARBLESS HOOK!

Only single hooks to be used! - Strictly No Trebles!

Please don't be offended if we ask to check your tackle,

it is purely for the welfare of our fish.

All bivvies must be set up

within the constructed gravel or woodchipped peg area.

Please do not block access routes past them.

All of your Rods must be on the same Peg as your bivvy.

RODS IN USE MUST NEVER BE LEFT UNATTENDED AT ANYTIME!

All Anglers must only fish within their chosen Peg Zone.

They must never fish into other adjoining zones,

even if the peg is unoccupied.

Zones are shown by the red broken lines on the Lake Plan and are marked by white posts on the islands and banks.

Peg 4 and 5 is a double peg and can be reserved.

If you wish to fish it on your own

you will be expected to pay for both pegs.

A 2 Rod Limit will still apply.

All leads and feeders must be either free running

or be attached using an appropriate loose fitting safety clip.

A minimum hook length of 4 inches to be used.

FLOATING BAITS CAN ONLY BE USED IF FREELINED,

ie no bubble floats or controllers of any kind.

Under no circumstances are Anglers permitted down over any of the banks around the Lake as these areas are Strictly Private.

Anyone found doing so will be banned!

No artificial/fake baits larger than a single grain of sweetcorn.

All nuts must be suitably prepared.

All Anglers are expected to have and use Klinik or similar.

It is available in our shop.

Bait boats are allowed on this Lake.

Quiet, well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Please clean up after them.

No litter. Please use a bin or take your rubbish home.

Barbeques and cooking stoves must only be used on the pegs and not on the grass. Please don't pour boiling water onto the grass as it kills it.

Please treat the Fishery, it's wildlife and other Anglers with respect.
