Description: Dug in the 1920s to supply the local pottery industry, Alder Hills fishery is a two and a half acre lake situated on the border of Bournemouth and Poole. The lake is part of Alder Hills Nature Reserve and is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) by Natural England and is primarily managed for its wildlife.

Alder Hills has no on-site parking and due to difficult topography no facilities are provided for disabled users.

Alder Hills has a closed season from 15 March to 15 June inclusive.
