Description:
No 3 and 4 Pond is one of the Association's most popular fisheries. It currently holds 100 - 150 carp with many over 20lb in weight (including common carp), with the lake record in excess of 30lb. In October 2011 the venue benefited from the introduction of 52 heavily scaled carp, averaging 8lb, these beautiful fish are being reported in excess of 20lb. All of the Association's Brandesburton Ponds are protected with otter fences.
Every swim holds features, whether one of the many bars, gullies or an overhanging tree. Multiple catches are regularly taken and carp are easily located if anglers take time to have a walk round before setting up. One recent catch that stands out was Scott Vickers' capture of three 20lb-plus carp to 23lb 3oz including 'Drop Scale#, along with four double-figure carp to 19lb, all caught in just 24 hours.
