Description:
Avocet Pool is a 1½ acre pond on the east bank of the complex.
It was purposely designed as a flat-bottomed venue, with islands and plateaux, to offer something of a challenge to members who favour a float-fishing approach.
Swims are along the eastern side of the pond only, with adjacent parking. The pond holds large numbers of crucian carp, tench and rudd along with 330 carp to 1lb introduced in October 2012. The rudd have bred profusely and it is a challenge to 'get through them' to catch the more cautious tench and crucians.

Strictly no night fishing.
Good Parking is available around this pond behind the majority of the pegs. However members should please ensure they park sensibly and not block other members access around the site road.
Please note that a security gate is fitted to the vehicular access at the Brough Complex this is locked at all times. A combination will be supplied with your annual membership.
