Description:
Woodhall's Pond is a nice 2-acre water. The water has good even banks that make it suitable for anglers with disabilities. There are good parking facilities. The water drops down to between 4 and 6 ft pretty quickly from the bank, and as you go further out it further drops down to 10 ft with a further channel dropping to almost 15 ft.
There are 30 pegs to choose from and some quality fish to target.
The water holds quite a few carp to 25lb, with most being double figures, as such they are generally targeted using specialist gear baited with boilies or meat on a hair rig.
There is a good head of bream and tench up to 6lb. Sea baits such as cockles and prawns fished into the margins are the killer baits and tactics for the tench. There are perch that run to 3lb, with plenty of roach, ide, crucians and rudd. The best running to about a pound. There are a number of chub present (2lb) whilst big eels to 5lb have also been caught. As the winter rolls in there are some very nice pike to target which run to 20lb with fresh sea deadbaits doing the business. With the stock of fish here it is wise to take a good selection including, maggots, worm, corn, paste and paste.
