Description:

The Reservoir entrance can be found on the left hand side of the road, just before you hit the main Mill barn Complex.

Depth from 4FT to 20FT. In the summer months as shown below, up to 5FT of water is taken for irrigation.

During this period the fishing is excellent. This lake also produces the biggest carp, and also has the largest head of Carp. Evening matches are held on this venue in the summer, record being over 200lb in 3hrs!. You will also

find a massive head of Bream in this lake, along with Barbel, Perch, Rudd and Roach all ensuring the float keeps going under all day long!

Fishery Rules:

1. Each angler must have a landing net and disgorger at hand before commencing to fish

2. Barbless hooks only

3. A maximum of 15lb breaking strain line to be used.

4. No keepnets to be used between the months of April & October, other than at club matches or by prior arrangement. Keepnets must be 10ft /3.05m or over

5. Your membership covers you for up to 2 rods on any lake

6. No surface fishing* or floating baits, minimum depth of 1ft between surface & bait, no surface fishing floats or rattlers.

7. The following are not to be used on any of the lakes: Luncheon meat, Cat Meat & Tiger nuts.

8. Membership cards to be carried at all times

9. No litter or discarded tackle to be left at the lakes

10. Member's cars to be left inside designated car parks provided & not on the roadside. If using the reservoir, please close the gate. Vehicles & contents left entirely at owners risk

11. No bonfires or loud music

12. On members lake no poles or whips of any description to be used in swims under the electric cable bank (see lakes guide)

13. Only rods up to a maximum of 13ft to be used under cables on members lake

14. Nobody is allowed to accompany you on the lakes unless a day ticket has been purchased

15. £10 supplement per night when night fishing for members, £20 for guests must telephone and pre book.

16. Night fish one night in three. Junior members can only night fish when accompanied by a senior member. You must vacate the lakes by noon the following day.

17. Only pegged swims to be fished

18. Guest day tickets £10.00 per day

19. Braid can only be used as a hook length, no longer than 6"/153mm

20. No electric bite alarms to be used unless using 2 rods or night fishing

21. No alcohol allowed on the lakes at any time

22. No Dogs on complex

23. Method feeders can be used but must be free running. A minimum hook length of 3 inches maybe used with this method.

24. All leads and feeders must be free running and no lead coil.

25. Unhooking mats when Carp fishing

* Rule 6 and no surface fishing raises a lot of questions amongst anglers. At Mill Barn we are dedicated to the welfare of the fish, and will go to any lengths needed to maintain this. It has been proven this is not a method kind to fish therefore we have outlawed it. Any persons found to break this rule will have their membership terminated on the spot and asked to leave the complex. The same applies for day tickets, who will asked not to return.

Any persons found breaking these rules will lose their membership with no refund. The management reserve the right to alter the rules at any time and are no obligation in cases of accidents or other unforeseen circumstances Fish at your own risk

Facilities:

A toilet has been added to the Reservoir site, and as ever the use of the facilities at the House are always available for those fishing on the main site. Plans for 2015 will include the addition of another portable toilet on the main site, to ensure a facility is always available to anglers when the house in not open. These facilities are open to both members and day tickets.
