Description:

Horseshoe Lake

Horseshoe Lake is our specimen lake and has around 36 pegs. Generally, our bigger fish are in Horseshoe.

There are 20lb + Sturgeon, Catfish up to 32lb, Carp nudging 30lb, double figure Bream, double figure Tench, Crucians 3lb +, Perch over 4lb, Barbel to 8lb, Roach, Rudd etc.

Horseshoe is now a permit only water. To obtain a permit you will need to show a suitable landing net (36" minimum), unhooking mats etc.

You must also be known to practice good fish handling. Permits are available upon request but numbers are limited. If you have not fished here before, you will need to fish our other waters before a permit can be granted.

Once a member of our staff has seen that you are a sensible and competent angler, you will be able to apply for a permit.

General 'danglers' will not be allowed to fish on Horseshoe as fish safety is paramount, as is the overall experience for our genuine Specimen fish anglers. Horseshoe is available for night fishing for over 18's or selected under 18's if they are accompanied overnight by an adult.
