Description: Presented by the Hadley Angling and Preservation Society, Jack's Lake is a charming spot with quite a history. This is actually the bottom of three lakes. These were created in the late 1880s for one Squire Charles Jake, the owner of Beech Hill House.
Nowadays, the two other lakes are inaccessible but Jack's Lake remains open for business.
Through the years, Jack's Lake has been a boating waterway and a day ticket water. It eventually fell into some decline, right up until the Society took things into their own hands in 1982. The lake was drained, vegetation was sawed back, banks were improved, and fish were stocked.
There are 44 pegs on the lake, 29 of which are day tickets. The remainder are open to club members only.
