This is not a decision that we have taken lightly but any responsible angler will understand why we have had to impose bait restrictions, as many other UK waters have too.

Especially the anglers who have planned and looked forward to their trip only to receive a call from us saying we have to cancel due to low oxygen.

Excess bait causes high nutrients in the water which depletes the lake of oxygen. If there is anything you do not understand then please just call us.

NO HIGH OIL PELLETS AS FREEBIES, ONLY AS HOOK BAITS.

NO FRESHWATER DEAD BAITS AT ALL, MACKERAL AND BLUEY ALLOWED IN MODERATION AND NOT TO BE THROWN IN THE LAKE AFTER USE.

SPODS MAY BE USED BUT WILL BE MONITORED. IF ANYONE WITNESSES PEOPLE ABUSING THE BAIT LIMIT WITH SPODS THEN PLEASE LET US KNOW AND WE WILL DEAL WITH IT.

?LET'S BE SENSIBLE AND ENJOY THE FISHING. WE ARE ASKING THAT IF YOU SEE ANYONE NOT ABIDING TO THESE CHANGES THEN LET US KNOW, JUST REMEMBER IT COULD BE YOU RECEIVING A CALL THAT WE HAVE TO CLOSE DUE TO LOW OXYGEN.
