Description: Junior Lakes

Open 7 days a week, including bank holidays (including 19th September), 10am - 5pm. No pre-booking required. Please do not arrive before 10am.

Cash payments only.

Don't worry if you have never fished before and don't know where to start - we've got everything covered! You can turn up empty handed and we can kit you out completely. We hire out basic fishing equipment; our whips are set up and ready to go with no reel so tangles are kept to a minimum. We sell bait, including maggots, homemade paste and sweetcorn. Prices are listed below! We also have a water bailiff on site who will be happy to show you how to set up and will be there throughout the day should you need any help. Feel free to ask him for guidance if you are struggling to catch and he can give you some extra advice.

The Junior Lakes are made up of three very well stocked ponds, with a mixture of fish including carp up to 10lb, tench, roach and perch. It's the perfect place for novice anglers (young or old!) to come and enjoy the pleasure of catching fish.

You do not require an environment agency fishing licence to fish our Junior Lakes as we are covered by our own blanket licence. However if you don't have your own licence please let us know as we need to take your details to be added to our licence. Children under 12 years of age do not require a licence but to be on the safe side their supervising adult should be added to our licence in case they want to hold the rod to assist their child.

Please be aware that BBQ'S are not permitted on our Junior Lakes. Picnics may be consumed but only around the Junior Lakes where seating is provided. Please help us keep this area clean and tidy by either taking your litter home or using the bins provided. Food can be purchased from Waterside Cafe (situated on site) to eat in or takeaway. Thank you for your co-operation.

Last entry: 4pm.

Please wear sensible footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.

Competition: We have stocked 1 golden koi into each of the Junior Lakes - all you have to do is catch one! Take a photo of you holding the koi (or with the koi in the net), send into our office (either email, Facebook or Instagram), and you'll be rewarded with a £10 off voucher for your next visit! Terms: Photo must be sent within 7 days of your visit. Competition is ongoing. Voucher valid for 1 year from date of capture. Competition open to all ages. These 3 are the only orange fish in the lakes so are very distinctive. Photo required as proof of capture otherwise we cannot issue a voucher.

Please note we do not allow dogs on site.
