Description: Stour valley fishing complex is a unique complex of 2 lakes in the heart of kent ( chilham ) offering superb specimen carp fishing and coarse fishing for day ticket anglers.

Our superb venue features 2 mature lakes set in the picturesque kent countryside near chilham. Situated just off the a28 canterbury to ashford road we offer specimen carp and general coarse fishing in a well maintained and comfortable environment.

We cater for either short or long stay carp anglers as well as anglers who want a great days fishing for their favourite coarse fish.

Before anyone starts fishing at stour valley fishing complex they must report to site office and dip there landing net, unhooking mat, weigh sling infront of a member of our staff anyone found not reporting to our site office will be removed from the complex instantly.

A new road has been constructed allowing easy access to all swims so you can now drive and park behind every swim. Toilet facilities are available but please leave them as found. The entire complex is securely fenced and accessible only via a locked gate.

Why not bring the family fishing with you or even better, send them to visit nearby canterbury or ashford for a visit whilst you enjoy a superb days fishing.

Rules:

01. No more than three rods to be used at any one time.

02. Dipping is a MUST on our Fishery if you dont want to DIP your NETS,SLINGS AND MATTS dont come.

03.When doubling up in a swim anglers can only use two rods each.

04. Rods must be attended at all times whilst fishing, you should not be more than 3m away from your rods at any time.

05. Only Barbed or Micro barbed hooks to be used.

06. Carp sacks are banned and must not be brought onto the lake, Carp can be retained in a landing net or recovery sling in the water for a maximum of 30 minutes in order to take photos etc. then must be immediately returned to the water. Use of keep nets for other species to be kept to a minimum. Net size minimum 20" x 80" [50cm x 200cm].

07. All anglers must have in their possession an appropriate sized un-hooking mat.

08. NO Dogs are permitted on our Day Ticket Complex.

09. No bright lights to be used at night except head torches. Please keep use to a minimum, please also keep noise to a minimum. No fires on any lake or excessive drinking, any angler deemed incapable of handling fish in a safe manner will be removed. Barbecues are allowed as long as they are off the ground so they do not burn the grass.

10. Boilies and Pellet Only.

11. NO PARTICLE OF ANY TYPE TO BE BROUGHT ONTO THE COMPLEX.

12. Anglers must be in possession of a valid fishing license.

13. No lead core or Leaders to be used at any time.

14. Toilet facilities where available should be used and cleaned after use. Please leave clean as you would like to find them.

15. No litter to be left at any time, please take all litter home with you.

16. Bait boats are Banned on the complex

17. Wading is not permitted except for landing fish

18. No trees are to be cut or damaged.

19. All fish must be returned to the water and at no time transferred to any other water. Please report all dead fish to the Fisheries Manager.

20. No plastic baits or braided mainline.

21. Minimum line strength 15lb

22. No Zigs allowed.

23. ANY ONE FOUND GIVING THE GATE CODE TO THE PUBLIC OR FRIENDS THAT ARE NOT BOOKED ON WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.



Pike fishing:

01. Maximum of three rods at any one time

02. Minimum 15lb mono or 30lb braid.

03. Wire traces to be used at all times, minimum 28lb breaking strain.

04. Minimum trace length 15 inches.

05. No live baiting.

06. Barbed or semi barbed snap tackle to be used.

07. No gags, gaffs or boga grips to be used.

08. Anglers must carry appropriate unhooking tools i.e. long forceps, long handled wire cutters, long handed pliers, deep throated disgorgers.

Any person found not to be adhering to the rules as stated will be removed from the complex.
