Description: A private gated lodge with 5 well spaced bivvy pegs available

for fishing on. A lovely setting for day and overnight fishing.

Primarily a specimen carp water which could be described as medium difficulty, multiple captures are not uncommon when the conditions are right.

Rules:

Anyone signing up on a disabled membership must provide proof of disability badge to the club via email ([email protected]) otherwise your membership will not be valid.

Anyone signing up to a juniors or veteran membership must provide relevant proof of age (under 18 or 65+) to the club via email ([email protected]) otherwise your membership will not be valid.

Anglers Rules for fishing on BDAS Waters:

01. ALL members must have a valid club permit with them at all times whilst on any BDAS waters.

02. ALL members must have a valid Environment Agency rod license whilst fishing on any BDAS waters:

Failure to produce the valid permit or license when requested will result in you being asked to leave the water and council security will be informed.

03. Crompton's lodge is fishing by BOOKINGS ONLY via the members online accounts.

04. Crompton;s Lodge - Any member may only occupy a swim for no more than 48 hours. The angler must then vacate the lake for a minimum of 48 hours.

05. Juniors under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a senior member or adult ticket holder at all times.

06.NO juniors allowed on Crompton's lodge.

07. Valley Waters fishing for members is 5am until 11pm (no booking required). Non-member/day ticket holders is 8am till 8pm for the ticket date purchase ONLY.

08. NO NIGHT FISHING ON THE VALLEY WATERS.

09. No more than 2 baited rods are to be used by any one angler on any BDAS water.

10. Carp fishing - Micro barbed hooks ONLY.

11. General coarse fishing - Barbless hooks ONLY.

12. Minimum 12lb line on Crompton;s Lodge.

13. NO rods are to be left unattended at any time.

14. Under NO circumstances must any fires be lit on the banks and pathways of any BDAS water or surrounding areas.

15. No litter, including all line, hooks, shot, bait bags, drink and food containers, are to be left at any time. ALL members are responsible for any litter present on their peg. PLEASE TAKE YOUR RUBBISH HOME.

16. All gates MUST be securely locked on entry and departure.

17. Gate codes or keys must NOT be passed onto anyone else. All valid members and ticket holders are provided these directly.

18. Please be considerate when parking your vehicles on or near any BDAS water.

19. Members fishing Crompton's lodge must only fish from the stages provided and must be 1 angler to a peg only.

20. Pegs must NOT be modified in any way whatsoever, by unauthorized persons.

21. The banks and water edges must not be disturbed for any purposes.

22. NO harming of any wildlife in or around any BDAS controlled water.

23. In the interest of fairness only cast into the swim in front of you.

24. ALL fish must be returned to the water they were caught from and no fish may be moved under any circumstances.

25 . Any member or non-member caught illegally stocking or removing fish from any of the club waters will be reported to both the Police, the Environment Agency and DEFRA (if applicable) with view to prosecution.

26. ALL anglers specifically fishing for carp or pike must have a suitably sized landing net, carp cradle and carp care kit.

27. No carp sacks are to be used at ANY TIME. Retention/Floatation devices may be used for a MAXIMUM of 30 minutes, with the exception if 25lb or over please see rule 38.

28. Tench and carp (except crucians) must NOT be retained in keep nets except in official club matches.

29. Cradles ONLY to be used on Crompton's lodge, anything else is not acceptable.

30. All nets, slings and cradles MUST be dipped before commencing to fish on Crompton's Lodge. Failing to do so will result in an immediate ban from all BDAS waters.

31. NO particle bait to be used on Crompton's lodge.

32. NO pets on Crompton's.

33. NO guests on Crompton's.

34. Bait boats can be used on Crompton's, however if you get it stuck or have battery failure whilst the boat is out in the water it must be retrieved by a bailiff at a cost of £20. You must contact the club as soon as this happens so we can arrange accordingly.

35. The excessive consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden on any BDAS water.

36. The consumption of ANY illegal substance is strictly forbidden on any BDAS water.

37. NO air rifles or any type of firearms to be taken on or used on any BDAS waters or land.

38. On Crompton;s Lodge - any catch that weighs 25lb or over must be notified to the club and the club will attend site to verify and log, regardless of time.

39. Any member witnessing a breach of the rules are to report it to a Bailiff or Committee member ASAP - contact telephone numbers and emails are provided on your membership cards and we can be contacted directly on our Facebook page.

40. Bury District Angling Society hold the right to cancel any membership without refund immediately, if a member fails to abide by any of the club;s rules. Or as the club and its officials see fit if the member poses a threat to them, their members or live stock.
