FLY FISHING RULES FOR ALL BOAT and BANK ANGLERS

01. Eyebrook is a private estate and nature reserve, please drive slowly. On arriving at the fishery go directly to the fishing lodge reception area and sign yourselves in, you are required to sign out at the end of your visit

02. Fly fishing is the only permitted method - No Treble Hooks

03. All anglers must be in possession of a valid fishing permit and Environment Agency rod license

04. Lifejackets to be worn at all times when on the boat pontoons and in boats.

05. Bank fishing commences from 7.30am with boats available from 8.30am, closing times displayed at the lodge

06. Ensure all trout returned are allowed adequate time to recover

07. Any bleeding, badly hooked or trout unlikely to recover must be despatched and given to a member of staff

08. The boat Angler in charge of the engine should ensure the Engines Kill Cord is connected to them while driving the boat.

09. Boat Anglers - NO TROLLING

10. No Electric engines

11. No boats allowed out on the water if the average wind speed exceeds 25mph

12. 3 people maximum allowed out in boats with only 2 permitted to be fishing at any one time

13. Boat Anglers give way to bank anglers

14. Boat Anglers should keep 50 meters from other boats

15. Boat anglers to keep 50 meters from any bank angler

16. Boat anglers when traveling should keep 50 meters from any bank

17. No beaching or grounding of boats, ensure you have adequate depth of water for the boat to travel, drift, anchor safely at all times.

18. The yellow marker buoys surrounding the main pontoon denotes a no fishing zone, this area is for boat access and egress only

19. All litter to be placed in the dustbins provided

20. At the northern end of the fishery at Bloods Dyke, a line of buoys and a tern raft marks the limit for fishing boats and bank angling to avoid disturbance to wildfowl and nesting terns.

21. Be aware of sudden changes to the weather, increased wind, thunderstorms, temperature. Seek shelter off the water during thunderstorms



PREDATOR FLY FISHING PERMITTED FROM 5TH MARCH TO 31ST OCTOBER

Specific Predator Angler Fishery Rules:

01. Fly Fishing Only for the pike and perch - No Treble Hooks

02. We will suspend predator fishing if the water temperature exceeds 19c

03. We limit the available pike fishing boats to 5 per day

04. No Electric Engines.

05. Float Tubing is allowed.

06. All pike caught must be carefully unhooked. Predator boat anglers must have the correct unhooking equipment-a large 42 inch landing net or larger and a large unhooking mat suitable for a large double figure pike and a suitable pair of forceps.

07. Never weigh or lift a fish by the gills, always use a net or weigh sling

08. When moving the fish to and from the water use a landing net or zipped unhooking mat at all times; never carry the fish unsupported even for short distances.

09. When photographing fish, support the fish over a large unhooking mat, kneel and never stand up with the fish.

10. When returning fish after capture, please support the fish in the water giving it plenty of time to recover before releasing.

11. Minimum of 20lb leader with a wire trace must be used at all times.

12. Minimum 9wt rod and a reel capable of holding 100yds of backing.
