Description: Twinlakes as its name suggests is a complex comprising of two small gravel pits, the first one you come to on site is the specimen lake , at around 2 acres and depths to 13 feet can be a challenging lake,. predominantly a specimen carp lake and fished as such ,it does attract other specimen anglers for the other species present like perch (3lb+) , roach (2.5lb+) and tench in excess of 8lb. the carp in this lake go to mid 30s and this years lake record stands at 32lb 7oz . it has a good head of carp nearly all double figure fish with a good head of twenties and although for its size and stocking is not an easy water.. it boasts some stunning looking fish all either born and bred in the lake or from the original stocking in the eighties and is one of a few lakes that still has lincolnshire only fish. most methods work and boilies account for nearly all the carp but they can be caught on other baits like maggot ,bread and meat. the lake has recently undergone a work program that it desperately needed, having been left for a number of years with only a handfull of anglers fishing ,it became a little overgrown and with pegs collapsing ,dangerous to,,,nearly all the work is complete on there now ,pegs rebuilt ,trees felled, swims cleared and raked and litter free. its been hard graft these last few months but next year will see it bloom again ...back to its former glory...with 19 fishable pegs , all with room for a bivvy
