Fishery Rules:

We have very few rules, and the ones we do have relate to the protection of the fish, consideration for other anglers, and safety.

- Strictly barbless hooks (maximum size 12)

- Feeder fishing to the island only from pegs 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, and 16.

The use of the feeder to the island is not allowed on any other peg.

- Feeder fishing must consider other anglers and not encroach on other pegs.

- No braid or heavy tackle likely to damage fish mouths.

- Guests and children remain the responsibility of the hosting member at all times.

- Leave the lodge as you would wish to find it - clean and tidy.

- No rubbish should be left around the lake or lodge at any time. There are no bins provided as this attracts pests, so members are asked to take all their rubbish home.

- Dawn till dusk fishing

- Night fishing is only permitted by prior arrangement.

(Russell, Barnacre's owner, occasionally goes shooting around the lake at night and in the very early morning, therefore for safety reasons it is essential that we know when anyone is going to be there). There is no extra charge for night fishing.
