| Description: Green Farm Fishery is situated in the beautiful village of Weedon Lois in Northamptonshire with peaceful surroundings that add to the quality of fishing for everyone from Match and Pleasure anglers to the Specimen hunter with 100lb+ Match weights commonplace, Specimen Carp to 28lb, Perch to 4lb 10oz, Chub, Tench, Barbel, Roach, Rudd, Bream. The Crucians can be unbelievable if you catch it right. As can the silverfish, but be aware as there is a lot of hard fighting Carp in both lakes.
Sparrow Lake is a guaranteed bites lake with Common Carp, Mirror Carp, Skimmers, Roach, Rudd, Tench and Perch although there is a lot of fish averaging 6oz to 1lb there is plenty of larger Carp averaging 4-6lb . There is thousands of fish in this lake with every bait working. There is 15 permanent pegs on this lake with loads of features especially in the margins with Water Iris, Lilly's, Reeds, Water inlets and outlet pipes. Depths in this Lake suprise a lot of people with 18inches tight to the grass in the margins to a quick shelve about 1ft from the bank that drops off to 5ft with the middle of the lake 25ft deep. Although most fish are caught close in at a maximum of 11 metres out. This is a very popular Lake with everyone from beginners to experienced anglers and is a fantastic Winter venue with its huge head of Silver fish as well as the Carp. Sparrow Lake is available for Match bookings but must be booked in advance to allow plenty of notice for members. |

Membership and Rules: All Nets Must Be Dipped in Dip Tank. Barbless hooks only. no floating baits. Fishery landing nets provided. no braid. no fixed rigs. groundbait in pole cups and feeders only. no keepnets unless authorised match. only 1 rod to be used at any one time. all rubbish must be taken home. no unwanted bait to be thrown into the lakes please. please close the gates after use. Always respect other members when fishing, no abusive or offensive behaviour will be tolerated. Fishery staff decision is final. |
