Description:
Dissington Pond near Ponteland is a old brick pond, which has been landscaped, developed and stocked by Big Waters Angling Club over the years, Making it into a fine fishery for members to enjoy.
Dissington Pond offers a wide range of species including tench, roach, rudd, perch, bream, ide, crucian carp, mirror carp and common carp of which has packed on weight over the last few years.
The pond is fully pegged and anglers should only fish from the pegs. Dissington Pond contains some very deep areas and so juniors should be supervised by a adult and senior anglers should take care.
Dissington Pond is used for matches and maybe closed from time to time, so it is advised to check for match updates and times which will be advertised on our facebook groups and website. Notices will also be placed at Dissington Pond when the water is closed.
