Rules:

Additional for 2014 QEII

The maximum distance from a Bivy to your rods is 8 ft.

There is no time limit for staying on a peg.

Landing nets for Pike and Carp must be at least 36 innches.

Unhooking mats for Pike and Carp must be at least 3ft by 2ft.

A suitable soft mesh weighing sling must be used to weigh fish.

The minimum line strength for Pike and Carp 14lbs.

When a Pike or Carp is caught it MUST be returned safely to the water BEFORE any rods are recast.

Any angler caught fishing in the out of bounds area by the Hotel will be brought before the committee and may be banned.

1. Any member found infringing any of the following rules, or jeopardizing the fishing rights will be dealt with by the committee, and may face expulsion.

2. All anglers must hold a current Rod Licence where appropriate and observe all Environment Agency regulations.

3. All members must be in possession of a current Year and Membership Card at all times when fishing. Anyone without may be ejected from the water.

4. Members must cause no damage, deposit no litter, nor light fires, and are expected to prevent such behaviour in others. ANYONE found leaving LITTER, INCLUDING cigarette ends, line, hooks, shot etc after leaving their peg may be banned from the club for LIFE.

5. No watercraft without the permission of the committee.

6. No swimming will be allowed.

7. Anglers must not overcrowd their keepnets (which must be a minimum of 8ft / 450mm in length with a diameter of 18 / 450mm and must be made of a knotless material). Anglers must ensure the well being of their catch at all times. All current notices regarding net bans must be observed.

8. Inspection of nets and/or their contents by any member at any time is permissible upon the production of a membership or bailiff card, where a valid reason exists.

9. Members must adopt a responsible attitude to members of the public and other water users, and endeavour to avoid injury to anyone in anyway.

10. NO fish, NO aquatic plants NO other forms of pond life are to be introduced to, or removed from the clubs waters without the permission of the committee. The only exception is that any game fish must be removed. (See individual waters rules).

11. All coarse fish must be returned to the water at the end of each fishing session except where an individual waters rules state differently.

12. No radios except personal stereos.

13. An adequate landing net made of a knotless material must be available and used whenever the size of fish dictates its use. The swinging in of any fish is to be avoided where practical.

14. No fishing between designated pegs.

15. Access gates must be kept locked at all times. The combination lock must have the number scrambled after entering or leaving the fisheries. (Note; Gates are the ONLY entry and exits to the fisheries No persons should climb fences or enter through hedges to leave or gain access).

16. Members must keep within the clubs boundaries at all times. Boundaries are detailed in each waters individual rules.

17. All cars are to be parked in the car parks ONLY.

18. Any of the waters may be closed at any time when deemed necessary by the committee.

19. No blood worm or jokers.

20. No live fish are permitted as bait.

21. No cans are allowed at the waterside at all. (This includes food, drink or bait cans)

22. No barbed hooks other than Whisker, Ghost, Splinter or Micro barbs are permitted. No rigs should consist of more than one single hook unless Pike fishing, in which case a maximum of two treble hooks may be used.

23. A maximum of two fishing implements (rods, poles whips etc). may be used within the confines of your own peg. (The confines of a peg are 1/2 way between yours and the peg to the left and to the right, also 1/2 way across the water to the nearest peg opposite when occupied).

24. No Carp over 2 lb should be retained unless an acknowledged Carp friendly keep net or Carp sack is used. (The committee recommend that NO Carp over 10 lb are retained at all).

25. At the end of any fishing session unused bait must not be discarded into the water.

26. No persons other than Club Members are permitted at club waters. This includes any children, family or friends of members. The sole exception shall be at the Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

27. These rules may be revised by the committee at any time.

28. Any club member, who on any club controlled waters, away trip or exchange ticket water, is found to be in possession of, and, or under the influence of alcohol, prohibited drugs or substances (e.g. solvents) will be expelled forthwith.

29. No fly fishing of any kind.



Club Rules for the QEII Country Park.

The QEII is a day ticket water. The same respect for our fish stocks may not be given by an outsider. Please be observant and assist if anyone looks as if they are struggling to land, unhook or release fish.All General Club rules apply to the QEII together with the following;

1. All park rules must be adhered to at all times.

2.NO live baiting and NO coarse dead baits are allowed (except dead Pike and dead Eel).

3.No nuts of any kind.

4. There is to be no pre-baiting for at least 72 hours before a carp match.

5. Members only can fish with 3 rods as long as they posses the correct Environment Agency licence(s).

6. A suitable landing net and unhooking mat must be used when fishing for Carp or Pike.

7. Strictly no water craft allowed when fishing including bait boats.



NIGHT FISHING

These will be strictly enforced.

1 - All general club rules must be adhered to as well as rules listed below when night fishing the QEII lake.

2 - No day ticket holders will be allowed to fish after dusk or before dawn.

3 - As in the general rules there will be no fires allowed with the exception of petrol or gas cooking stoves.

4 - No radios, stereos or TVs to be used without personal earphones.

5 - No vehicular access (Unless disabled blue badge holders / key holders) and blue badges must be displayed.

6 - Disabled car drivers parking on the service road must ensure they leave enough room for service vehicles to pass.

7 - All anglers must be off the water one hour before any competitions of any kind starts.

8 - No visitors to the bank sides between the hours of 11pm to 7am unless of necessity.

9 - No vehicle movement between 11 pm - 7 am.

10 - While it has been agreed that members may fish the hotel bank during the day on the condition that they would have to move if requested by any other water users who might want to use the launching facilities, it is in the interest of the privacy of the hotel that there will be no night fishing involving the use of sounders from the fence to the east side of the big wheel to the 2nd disabled peg down the ash path.

11 - No rods to be left unattended (anglers must be within 8 yards of their rods at all times).

12 - A strict speed limit of 5mph will be enforced.

13 - No minding of pegs i.e. if a member is absent from his peg for more than two hours he must vacate the right of the peg he was fishing.

14 - Noise must be kept to a minimum. Please adjust sounder volume so as not to cause undue annoyance to persons nearby.

15 - Any rule breaking of any kind could result in the offending member being expelled from the club.

16 - If there is litter on the peg you are fishing "IT IS YOURS".

17 - Pegs will be considered to be 15 yards apart giving each angler 7 1/2 yards either side to fish.

18 - When night fishing, junior anglers must be accompanied by a senior member.

19 - An angler may not occupy the same peg for more than 2 nights in a row.

20 - Oap and disabled access to the QEII is strictly for fishing only (not sight seeing or visiting other anglers).

Please read all of the rules thoroughly as the saying " i did not know" will be no excuse.
