Description: This is the jewel in the Associations crown, a complex consisting of five well established lakes in very pleasant wooded surroundings. All of the ponds contain everything from small Roach to large Carp, However, please be aware of the rules for each pond.
The Richmond Canal Proudly named after Honorary Life Members and Father & Son Brian and Dale Richmond who generously created this pond at minimal cost to the Association. The 'Richmond Canal' has been designed for easy fishing with a variety of small to medium sized Coarse fish, Roach, Skimmers, Perch and Tench being the predominant species. The Canal style pond is around 11 metres wide and is fished from one side only, there is a shelf on the far bank about a metre wide and 1/2 metre deep and the centre channel is about 1.6 metres deep. There are 13 pegs with parking close behind each peg. The pond is sometimes used for Junior Coaching Sessions and occasional small matches. As there are no Carp in this pond bivvies and electronic bite indicators should not be used.
