| Description: Church Pool
The Church Pool is a 10 acre tree lined pool situated at the north end of the estate set close to St Mary's Church giving the lake its name. Famous in carp fishing circles the lake holds a superb stock of commons and Mirrors to over 30lbs. Fishing on Church Pool is controlled on an annual syndicate basis Great Lake Set in the grounds of the Patshull Estate, designed by Capability Brown, the Great Lake was built in 1768 and is situated on the Shropshire Staffordshire border. The lake offers a mix of day ticket coarse and competition angling together with pike and syndicated carp fishing depending upon the season. Anglers have the choice to fish either from the bank or via boats. We can cater for club and corporate bookings, beginners are welcomed with tuition packages available upon request. Patshull is well known for producing quality bream, tench, perch, and pike to over 30lbs, including a recent stocking of fast growing common and mirror carp. The fishing lodge offers an onsite Cafe and tackle supplies ensuring anglers are well catered for. |
