Description: Welcome to Avalon Fisheries Where legends become reality

Set in the tranquil heart of the Somerset Levels, Avalon Fisheries is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife in the nearby nature reserves.

This well established water consists of the 16 peg Heath Lake, with a maximum of 14 swims available for night sessions. Heath Lake holds a large head of double-figure carp into the mid to high 20s with fish over 30lbs.

Moors Lake is the pleasure and match lake. It has 48 generously spread swims that offer excellent sport for all types of anglers.

Heath Lake Rules:

Day and night fishing must be booked in advance.

Night fishing - Minimum age 18 years old.

Day fishing - Anglers under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

No unauthorised guests.

One angler per peg.

Bivvys ONLY - No Tents.

Carp cradle or large padded unhooking mats and minimum 42-inch landing nets must be used.

Do not retain fish for more than 10 minutes.

Carp should be held at low level for photos.

Carp Clinic must be carried at all times.

Fish from designated areas only and remain on booked swim.

Do not leave rods unattended (Maximum 2 Rods).

Manufactured barbless hooks only, Maximum size 4.

No braided reel line, (Minimum line strength 10Ib).

No fixed leads - carp friendly non-tether rigs only.

No method feeders.

All carp must be returned to the water via a sling or zip mat.

Bait boats may be used sensibly.

No radios.

Alcohol abuse and drug use will not be tolerated and will result in a ban from the fishery.

BBQs to be set off the ground.

No peanuts.

No lighting fires.

Magic Twig (and similar products) are banned.

Booking Terms and Conditions:

Full payment is required at the time of booking, which includes a 50% non-refundable deposit.

Arrival Times:

Night bookings arrive from 12midday and depart 12midday.

Day bookings arrive from 7.00am and depart at 7.00pm.

Please Note: We require a minimum of 72 hours notice prior to the booked date to cancel or change the booking.

No refunds will be made if notice is within 72 hours of the booked time slot.



Moors Lake Rules:

ALL NETS MUST BE DRY BEFORE USE

Pleasure Fishing

Keepnets allowed from October to March (No Carp to be kept in nets).

Magic Twig (and similar products) are banned Match Fishing.

Do not Leave Rods Unattended (Maximum 2 Rods).

Fish from platforms only.

Barbless hooks only, Maximum size 10.

No Braided Reel line.

All leads and feeders must be free running. (Min 12 inch hook length 300mm) NO METHOD FEEDERS.

Feed Pellets - Carp or Coarse feed pellets .only.

No cat or dog meat, Nuts, Beans and Peas.

No Surface baits.

Luncheon meat - Max 2 x 400g Tins.

Groundbait - Max 2kg.

Lighting of fires prohibited.

Lay out nets to dry until 5 minutes before start of match.

Max 70Ib Carp 50Ib Silvers per net.

Magic Twig (and similar products) are banned.
