Description: The complex comprises of 4 main ponds, The North, Senior, South and Railway ponds. The public have a right of way footpath that runs from Sedgemoor Road through the ponds to Dunwear lane. This caused problems for the anglers using the Ponds with unwanted guests. all swims are now gated and fenced and a combination lock added for security.

North Pond:

As you enter our complex past our notice board the 1st gate you come to is the North pond. This is the oldest pond on the complex and was dug many years before the others. It is a very mature pond containing trees, reeds, bars etc. and the fish have dictated that this has become the flagship carp water on the complex. A small number of carp within it now over 30lb and approximately a dozen 20lb plus fish. Other species present are Pike, Perch, Roach, Tench, Bream and Rudd.

Railway Pond:

Last but not least is our newly transformed Railway/match lake. This is a lovely, naturally rich pond containing 10 swims predominantly put in for match anglers. Its features are reeds and tree lines and it is quite a silty pond. It contains a few Carp to double figures, Tench, Bream, Pike, Roach and Rudd. This pond has also benefited from its 1st official stocking from the club. 100 fingerlings to 3lb carp have been stocked, along with 3000 Roach and 1000 Rudd to supplement the existing stock. This pond only re-opened last year (2021) after 5 years of closure due to an invasive species of plant.

South Pond:

The South Pond is next in-line and this is a small horseshoe shaped water. It consists of 7 sensible sized swims and some of these with their own fence and gate. This pond we would say is a pleasure fishery with a good stock of smaller carp to double figures and mixed species. These include Pike, Perch, Bream, Tench, Roach and Rudd. This pond tends to be less busy, but coarse anglers are just waking up to its beauty. Bio security is present in this and the North pond and we encourage all visitors to protect our stocks by using our diptanks. This pond we would class as average difficulty.

Senior Pond:

The 3rd pond you can access from the carpark is the largest on the complex the Senior pond. This we hope will become our runs water and pleasure fishery. It was recently used for a section of the renowned Durleigh festival and delivered an average match weight of about 5 kilos of mixed species. A couple of the section winners caught >10Kg. Amongst the fish caught were good Tench in numbers from all over the pond. The Pond currently comprises of 14 swims and nearly all have been designed with sociable angling in mind. They also cater for pole, coarse and Carp Angler alike with generous amounts of room in nature reserve type surroundings. If you want to get away from it all this is the pond for you.

This is a pond with many different features, over hanging Trees, Reeds, Bars and Lilies. This can be a tricky pond to fish a times as the fish roam between the features the fish are immaculate and the rewards are there for perseverance. This pond contains carp to 20lb, Tench, Bream , Pike, Perch, Roach and Rudd. It has also just received a stocking (Winter 2022) of 125 Carp between 4 to 15lb to add to the 100 fish we believe inhabited it. Going forward the future looks bright.
