Description:
Considering the number of quality fish that come out of this water year on year, it surprised me to discover that it is totally free fishing. The water is jointly run and owned by the Council and also Sheffield University. The water covers just over 3 acres and provides plenty of places to fish from. It is very deep in places and fish tend to shoal up in the colder weather in these areas. The steps and pavilion areas seem to be the most popular.
It is strange to see the bivvy boys on the banks of a public park, but I discovered why when I found that the carp run up to 30lbs.
