Description:

Dale Pitt Lakes are former sand and gravel pits adjoining the Natural England site, Hatfield Moors Peatland just east of Doncaster. These lakes are being carefully and thoughtfully transformed into a superb fishing complex which, when fully developed will be one of the finest in Doncaster and South Yorkshire.

Rules:

All landing nets must be dipped before commencement of any fishing. NO DIPS NO FISH.

All fish should be handled with care at all times.

Fish to be killed should be dispatched by using an adequate 'priest' immediately after the fish is netted.

Fish to be released should never be handled with dry hands and preferably in a net.

Please ensure that returned fish are adequately 'recovered' by moving them backwards and forwards in an upright position, to re-oxygenate them before release.

No wading at any time.

If you lose tackle in the water please contact the bailiff for assistance.

Please dispose of litter in the receptacles and bins provided around the site.

There are adequate toilets on site. Please use them and respect other's privacy as well as our lakes.

Please Fill-in and Deposit your Catch Returns in the Box at the Gate - completing accurate catch returns assists us in monitoring and maintaining a good, healthy, balanced mix of healthy fish.

Please make an effort to retrieve ALL discarded, tangled or broken nylon. The bird-life of these lakes should be treated with respect.

IF YOU SEE ANY INJURED, DEAD OR DISTRESSED FISH OR OTHER WILDLIFE, PLEASE REPORT IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO THE BAILIFF.

PLEASE NOTE: The owners of Dale Pitt Lakes reserve the right to amend or alter the Fishery Rules at any time. In addition, the owners, bailiff or anyone appointed by them to act upon their behalf may at any time ask to inspect any flies, nets, catches, tackle bags, etc in order to ensure that the Fishery Rules are being adhered to.

ANYONE FOUND TO BE INTENTIONALLY VIOLATING THE RULES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

Fishermen and Visitors enter Dale Pitt Lakes entirely at their own risk. No liability attaches to the owners or their agents in respect of any damage, injury or loss to persons or property, howsoever caused. Your statutory rights are not affected.
