Description:

The fishery occupies a 5 acre plot, at 2.5 acres the lake is spring fed by five naturally occuring springs.

There are 43 pegs available, all of which are 'all weather' wooden custom made swims.

There is ample parking onsite and several areas of the lake have been designed with the disabled angler in mind. Two of the swims have been built to facilitate the use of wheelchairs.

The lake can be fished on a day ticket, or can be booked for club matches. Check out the booking calendar on this website for availability.

General Rules:

Barbless hooks only - maximum hook size 12

No keep nets except during matches Maximum 50lb per net (please ensure you have sufficient nets as our match record is 1st 188lb 8oz 2nd 151lb 6oz and 3rd 141lb 8oz)

Not always the case but could need up to 4 keep nets. We can always help out with spare nets if the need arises.) All nets must be dipped in the solution provided.

No Method Feeders.

No braided line.

Fishing only allowed off swims provided.

Rods and equipment must not be left unattended.

No Radios to be played when fishing.

No Dogs allowed around the fishery at any time.

No Children under 14 to be left unsupervised.

Only fishery nets to be used.

No Swimming.

No stoves or cooking at the fishery.

No wading.

Litter Must be placed in the bins provided.

Bait Rules:

No Floating Baits (inc Bread and Pellets)

No Trout Pellets, Boilies, Peanuts, Tigernuts, Bloodworm and Joker.

Only Coarse pellets purchased from Roan Fishery may be used as a feed bait.

Other particle feed baits, hemp, sweetcorn, etc. restricted to 1 large can per angler.

No unused bait to be thrown into the lake at the end of a session.

WE CHECK ANGLERS HOOKS AND BAITS ON A REGULAR BASIS AND ANYONE FOUND BREAKING ANY OF OUR RULES INCLUDING LITTERING WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE LAKE IMMEDIATELY

Roan Fishery Tackle ShopOur onsite cafe and tackle shop provides excellent facilities, supplying drinks, snacks and excellent breakfasts. In addition we also stock a range of the latest baits and tackle from well known manufacturers.

Toilet and washing facilities are also available within the building.
