About the Specimen Lake

Comprises of 1.75 acres with three islands.

The lake features plenty of Snags, Bays, Gravel Bars and clear, open water to fish to.

This lake contains a large head of upper doubles and plenty of 20lbs with the chance of catching a 30lb

As you can see from the pictures, there are some stunning common's and a few ghostie's to go at.

Pleasure and Traditional Lake Rules:

All Anglers must have a valid Environment Agency rod licence

All Anglers must purchase the correct ticket on arrival

Every Angler must be in possession of a suitably sized landing and unhooking mat

2 rods only on pleasure lake and 1 on traditional lake

Barbless hooks only on these lakes

Safety rigs and lead clips must be used if ledgering especially for the carp.

The management reserve the right to check your rigs at any stage

No fish over 2lb to be kept in keep nets

No braided mainlines

No nuts to be used whatsoever on these lakes

Do not leave rods unattended (to cover yourself remember the environment Agency regulations)

No fires allowed.

Disposable Barbeques allowed on gravelled areas only

Do not attempt to prune, cut or damage the trees and vegetation

All litter is to be cleared from and around your swim and either taken with you or deposited in the bins provided

Please keep noise to a minimum and respect other anglers

Please do not interfere with the wildlife

Please keep the gate into the lake area shut at all times

Sorry, no dogs allowed

Anyone found taking or damaging fish will be prosecuted.

Remember this fishery is under 24 hour recorded CCTV

We reserve the right to carry out maintenance at any time

Specimen Carp Lake Rules:

All Anglers must have a valid Environment Agency Rod Licence

All Anglers must purchase the correct ticket on arrival

Every Angler must be in possession of a suitably sized landing net, unhooking mat and weigh sling

2 rods only, a 3rd may be used if prior consent is given on booking of swim.

2 rods only on shared swim

Barbed or micro-barbed hooks only to be used

Safety rigs must be used at all times with either in line or drop off leads or lead clips.

The management reserve the right to check your rigs on request

No sacking of fish no keepnets

Fish should be returned to the water as quickly as possible and handling kept to a minimum

No braided mainlines except for the use of marker and spod

No nuts (including tigers and peanuts) to be used on this water whatsoever

No fishing for the pike unless prior permission granted

Do not leave rods unattended, no further away than the next swim on same side. (To cover yourself remember the Environment Agency regulation)

No fires allowed.

Disposable barbeques allowed on gravelled areas only

Do not attempt to prune, cut or damage the trees and vegetation

Prior permission is needed for spectators and they must be left the site before 8pm or Dusk whichever comes first.

Gate code is to be given out only by the management and not to anyone that has not booked a swim

All litter must be removed from and around your swim and deposited in the bins provided.

Please take gas canisters, glass bottles and large items away with you as we cannot dispose of these ourselves.

Do not interfere with the wildlife

Please keep the gate closed and locked at all times

You must pre-book a swim to fish this lake

We reserve the right to carry out maintenance at any time

Anyone found taking or damaging fish will be prosecuted.
