Description: Brittens Pond is a stillwater with three islands in north Guilford offering pleasure angling and carp fishing on a season ticket. The lake goes down to around four feet, and holds perch, crucians, tench, roach, perch and carp to over 20lb, but which average at 12lb. There are numerous swims all round the lake, with a good path and nearby parking.

Brittens Pond Rules

No Juniors to fish between sunset and sunrise unless a form has been signed. See Rule 34.

Adult members require a night permit to fish nights or after sunset.

No carp to be retained.

No glass containers.

No playing of radios or TVs on society waters.

All Anglers must have their OWN landing net of at least 42in and a Cradle or walled mat.

No standing whilst handling fish.

No Bivvies or bed chairs to block pathways.

No camping, specialist green equipment only to be used.

Do not trespass on private land around the pond.

Keep clear of all fences.

Two rods (no more) may be used at any one time provided the appropriate EA rod licence is held.

Anglers are not to be more than 2 swims from there swim on the bank they are fishing. The banks are Front, Back, Wall, Railway Side.

No tinned baits are to be taken to the water in their tins.

No surface baits or the Method of Spodding or Spombing to be used.

No member may reserve a swim by positioning rod rests, tackle etc there.

Any member with litter in the vicinity of his and or her swim shall be deemed to be responsible for it.

All hooks to be Microbaarbed or Barbless.

No fixed leads. Must be free running or be in a position for the lead to eject itself.

No nut baits.

No motorcycles and or mopeds allowed to be taken to the banks, they must be left in the car park.

Night fishing prior to a daytime match. YOU MUST BE OFF BY 7AM.

Night fishing is limited to 2 nights only in seven. Wednesday being the start of the week.

No bait boats to be used.

All braids used as main line are banned.

No bicycles to block pathways.

Non compliance will result in disciplinary action to be decided by the Committee.

No Dogs.

No Litter.

Fish Care is required by all anglers.

Fishing and baiting from designated swims only.

Fish must NOT be kept in landing nets. They must be returned before any recasting.

No wading in Brittens pond except for BAILIFFS ONLY.

Juniors wishing to stay overnight must complete the appropriate paperwork and have the signed consent of their parent or nominated legal guardian and Club Chairman.

All members must abide by the club rules whether they are fishing or not.

ANY UNLAWFUL ACTIVITY WITH A CATAPULT WILL RESULT IN AUTOMATIC REMOVAL OF PERMIT
