Having fished and looked after the water for over 20 years, we purchased Busbridge Lower Lake from Ladywell Convent in 1987, one of our most beautiful waters.
A stunning five acre lake set in our own woodland estate, with access through locked gates to a large car parking area and a toilet. Anglers have the choice of forty swims in which to fish for a wide variety of species, including Pike, Perch, Carp, Roach, Rudd, Bream and Tench. This water has produced both Carp and Pike weighing over thirty pounds. |

Day Ticket Not available for this water. Guest Ticket Not available for this water. Busbridge Lake - Byelaws. 1 The lake will be closed from March 15th until April 14th inclusive. 2 Wood Lake, Busbridge may be fished by members only.(No Guest or Day tickets) 3 Non members may not enter the confines of Wood Lake, Busbridge, except on Godalming Angling Society business. 4 Junior members must always be accompanied by a Senior or Young Adult member. 5 Night fishing is allowed under the following rules: a) Members must book-in with Higgs Wood (01483 423645) no later than 7pm on the evening they propose to fish giving name and membership number (SEN***). Once the number limit has been reached no further bookings will be taken for that night. Society bailiffs will check anglers have booked in. b) No angler may fish consecutive nights. c) There will be no night fishing immediately prior to a match. 6 No fishing in the stock pond. 7 Wading is prohibited. 8 Samples of bait may only be introduced when fishing. Prebaiting is prohibited. Notes: Please relock the gate immediately after entering or leaving. The Nuns of Ladywell Convent have permission for access, and may occasionally be seen walking around the lake and the grounds. |

Facilities: Car Park Disabled Access The dam wall provides good access for wheelchair bound anglers. There is ample parking here with level access to fish from the bargate stone fronted dam wall that also leads round to the left of the lake, where I would describe wheelchair access as only fair. Pegs 1-5 are easily accessible by wheelchair; the rest would require some assistance and a number have steps down to the swims that are unsuitable for wheelchairs. To the right of the dam wall we laid concrete ramps which makes wheelchair access (with probably some assistance due to gradient) quite possible. Most swims on the right are wheelchair accessible with some exceptions. None have a safety bar fitted. Portaloo in car park. Padlock using standard issued key. Toilet Facilities |
