Description: Greens Farm Fishing Lakes on the Newdigate Farms Estate.
Greens Farm is located in the village of Newdigate, the fishery has 2 fishing lakes that are set in 220 acres of woodland and agricultural land. Both lakes are good size, Bean lake is the largest at 6 acres. The water is popular with carp anglers and holds good size mirror, common and ghost carp to 45lb. Guinea lake is slightly smaller at 5 acres in size.
The Newdigate Farms Estate is made up of 3 close nit farms all of which have their own group of fishing lakes, farms include: (Dean House Farm, Stammerham Farm and Greens Farm). The farmhouse at Greens Farm is reputedly the second oldest house in Surrey, dating from 1309, only some 240 years after the writing of the Doomsday book. There is a collection of timber framed farm buildings.
Tanhouse Farm shop is close to the fishery where you can grab a breakfast or lunch all freshly prepared.
Bean lake is 6 acres in size and popular for carp angling with Mirror carp, Ghost and Common carp to around 45lb. Bean lake has clear swims allowing for easy casting.
Guinea lake is 5 acres in size and stocked with some good size Golden Orfe to 6lb, tench, bream and crucian carp. Has good clear pegs allowing for easy casting.
