Description: The Back Lake was originally developed as a Match fishery, but has become much more of a Specimen water in recent years. The original stock of Carp have grown to good sizes and offer a good chance at that 30lb fish of a lifetime!
The Back Lake also contains a good head of Pike and produces some good sport with live baits and anchored dead baits. The Front Lake holds a good head of Carp both Mirrors and Commons up to 33lbs of which 3 are 30lb+ also a good mixed bag of Bream to 10lb+, Tench to 10lb+ and Perch. Use bottom tactics to present baits on the bars or in the silty gulleys for best results, and margins can be well worth the effort if you are quiet! There is a good stock of Bream in this pit that are rarely fished for and could give exceptional results on the tip or waggler, well worth the walk. |
