Description: About Willinghurst Fisheries

Set in the heart of the Surrey countryside, Willinghurst Fisheries has 11 well stocked lakes. The stocks are mostly carp, roach, rudd and tench, but there are also a variety of others to be had. With competitions run throughout the year, Willinghurst Fisheries aims to provide both match and pleasure anglers of all ages an ideal venue to unwind and enjoy a good day's fishing.

-------------------- Cherry Tree Lake - 5

Always popular with those seeking to catch a specimen Perch the record for which is over 5 lbs. Big carp are also plentiful and the lake is always popular with the day ticket anglers. Fishing is from the bank. -------------------- Christmas Tree Lake - 2

Our second specimen lake with good numbers of BIG fish. Current record for this lake is 32.5 lbs. Other species to be found include Tench to 4.0 lbs, Bream to 5lbs and good numbers of Roach. There is a substantial island with many features and most seem to fish to this. Again it is worth fishing the margins as they remain largely ignored. -------------------- Half Moon Lake - 11

Our latest lake and being offered for the first time in 2015. Primarily filled with skimmers it is for those that want to see their float go under on every cast.. Suitable for small matches of up to 12 anglers. -------------------- Horseshoe Lake - 10

This is a popular lake within the 24 hour angler as it offers a small lake with a good head of carp to 30 lbs. F1's and crucians are also much in evidence and its location next to the cafe makes this a popular year round location. Fishing is from platforms. Match fishing up to 18 -------------------- John's Match Lake - 9

Built primarily to hold large matches (45 comfortably) the lake is stocked with both carp (to 15 lbs) and Bream and silver fish to try to ensure there is a good fishing year round. Match weights have grown steadily and now may be expected to exceed 100 lbs on a regular basis. -------------------- Main Lake - 1

The carp run to the very high 30s and we expect our first 40 to be caught this year. As well as a good head of doubles there are also specimen Tench to 6 lbs and Roach to 2.5 lbs. The majority of anglers fish to the islands but the canny fisherman will fish under the trees dotted along the margins were the really big fish lay in the summertime. In the height of the summer this lake is also hugely popular with the fly fishing fraternity as the big fish can be lured onto the surface and stalking the big fish is very successful and hugely rewarding. -------------------- New Lake - 8

Built in the 1980s and dredged and restocked in 2011 this lake is now fishing really well. There is a good cross section of Common and Mirror Carp to 15 lbs as well as some lovely F1s and Crucians. Fishing is from platforms. Match fishing for up to 20. -------------------- Oak Tree Lake - 4

A lovely little lake set amongst the Oak trees and largely sheltered from the weather. Fishing is from the bank. -------------------- Old Lake - 7

The original coarse fishing lake built in the late 70s and much extended since. Situated in the heart of the complex and ideally located for the Cafe. Well stocked with carp it is popular with both match anglers and day tickets alike. Fishing is from platforms. Match fishing for up to 25. -------------------- Pittance Lake - 3

A lovely little lake adjoining Christmas Tree. Set down under the prevailing wind it is as popular in the winter as it is in the summer. Also a popular lake with those wishing to have smaller matches for up to 18 anglers. -------------------- Top Lake - 6

Very popular with match anglers and pleasure fishermen alike. Fished really well last season with match weights reaching 190 lbs. There are a couple of monster carp in here that were held for breeding in a small adjoining lake. In 2013 work was carried out to include the small lake into Top lake and with it the big fish. Rather like the Loch Ness monster they have been seen but never caught! Fishing is from platforms. Match fishing for up to 24.
