Description: Welcome to Bishops Bowl Fishery Bishops Bowl Fishery. Since 2010 the fishery has seen vast improvements. New lakes have been created and access to all swims more accessible for able bodied and disabled visitors. Refurbishment of existing lakes and introduction of fish stocks.

Rules:

General: Anglers and guests are expected to behave in an appropriate manner at all times and show consideration for others at the fishery. Most importantly, we expect anglers to treat the fish with the respect and handle with every care.

We reserve the right to ask visitors to leave, if we feel their behaviour is inappropriate.

1. The owner reserves the right to refuse entry/fishing.

2. The owner accepts no responsibility for anglers vehicles, contents or equipment whilst on the site.

3. All accidents must be reported immediately to the owner.

4. Fish to be photographed over an unhooking mat.

5. No children unless fishing with a responsible adult (designated lakes).

6. No swimming.

7. No Wading.

8. No Fires or BBQ.

9. Parking only in the designated car parks.

10. No abusive or offensive language.

11. Respect other anglers and wildlife.

12. Use the bins provided, or take your litter home.

13. No fish to be retained, except in matches.

14. No fish to be held in towels.

15. No braided line.

16. Barbless hooks only.

17. Safe lead clips or free running leads.

18. No floating baits except on Greenhills or Mitre pool.

19. No halibut pellets.

20. Keep noise to a minimum.

21. Fishing only from designated pegs and or swims.

22. Landing net to be used for all fish over 6 inches or 15cm in length.

23. No rods to be left unattended in the water.

24. Pike and Carp anglers must have a minimum of 15lb breaking strain line.



Additional Mstch Rules:

25. Keep nets to be dipped on arrival and when leaving, laid out on bank until 10 minutes before the start of the match.

26. Two keep nets per angler, 1 for silver fish, and 1 for Carp.

27. 60lb limit for each net.

28. Whilst the consumption of alcohol is permitted, anyone behaving inappropriately whilst under the influence of alcohol will be asked to leave the fishery.



Specimen lake additional rules:

All anglers fishing Rushglen, Greenhills and Mitre will need to become a member. Membership is £10 annually and can be obtained on arrival. Please read the following membership requirements.

No Bait boats on Rushglen.

29. Adequate weigh sling and landing net (over 36")

(no retaining of fish unless asked to do so by staff for verification purposes or photos)

30. Unhooking mat with upstands to the side or carp cradle.

31. Carp care kit, and minimum breaking strain 15lb line.

32. No braid mainline.

33. No Wading.

34. No guests unless it is a spouse or child.

35. No Children under 10 to fish.

Please purchase your ticket from the shop on arrival at the site.

Mitre Lake, you will need to have a membership to fish this lake.

3 Rods per peg one rod needs to be a margin rod.

No double pegs.

Rushglen Lake:

No bait boats, and 2 rods per peg.



Greenhills and New Greenhills Lake:

3 rods Maximum,

Fish from Designated swims only, they are all numbered.

Anyone attempting to remove fish from Bishops Bowl fishery will be prosecuted, we also reserve the right to check any vehicle at any time.

Facilities:

Bar is open all day.

Cafe is open all day in the summer for hot food and drinks.

Car Parks

Fully stocked Tackle Shop.

Open EVERY DAY during fishery open hours, Anglers not fishing at the fishery are welcome to use the shop.
