Description: Fantastic set of Club lakes. Whether you are a pleasure, match or specimen angler, the Club can offer you superb fishing where you may be able to park securely, enjoy excellent fishing in wonderful surroundings and wildlife and who knows - you may even catch a fish of a life time!

Churchyard Lake

This lake is for the angler that wishes to catch the fish of a life time.

It holds specimen carp, pike, roach, rudd, perch and tench. It can be very weedy in the summer months, but for those anglers that can come to terms with this the rewards can be worthwhile.

It is predominantly fished by those seeking specimen carp. There are a number of fish in the high 30's of which one or more are over the magic 40lb barrier at some point each season.

To some, the low stocking of the carp in this lake can seem rather daunting, but there are those who see it as a challenge.

Whyke Lake

This is probably the jewel in our crown. With a large head of carp up to the mid thirties as well as bream to 14lb and lots of big tench, pike, roach and rudd.

Lakes 1 and 2 (Whyke 1 swims 1-20 and 40 Whyke 2 swims 21-39 ) are actually joined by a single narrow channel and the fish are free to frequent which ever lake they wish. These lakes become somewhat weedy during the early summer months, but not as much as Churchyard, plenty of open water can be found.

These lakes can produce a bumper catch on the right day, with several 20lb plus fish in a session. All methods such as float fishing, ledgering work well.

Quarry Lake

Quarry is well known for it's lily pads, where many a carp will seek sanctuary when hooked. The lake also contains a large number of roach, rudd, perch, tench, bream and a few pike.

Multiple catches have been made over the years. One such catch consisted of 27 carp in a 24 hour period in the most inhospitable conditions.

The fish in quarry will fall to most methods, ledgering and float fishing. The size of the carp range from single figures to just over 30lbs. Recent years have seen the number of fish over 20lbs being caught on the increase.

Long Lake

This is the clubs premier match water. The lake covers an area of about 2 acres and has 35 permanent match pegs. Many matches are held throughout the year and some large weights have been recorded.

The match record stands at 118lbs (5 hours) and 198lbs (8 hours). This lake also provides hours of entertainment for the pleasure anglers where fishing with apole, float, quiver tip is the order of the day.

You can expect to catch carp to low doubles. Bream, tench and crucian carp also stocked with the usual smaller silver fish.

Little Lake

This small lake was once part of Big Long Lake. It has changed somewhat over the years. The lake contains mostly silver fish, some crucian carp, tench, single figure carp and maybe a few skimmer bream.
