Description: Wintons Fishery takes the wellbeing and safety of both our members, fish and wildlife very seriously. Having had reasonable opportunity to read the Fishery Rules, applicable to any application for Membership and confirm, that on acceptance of your Membership, your agreement to abide by such rules. We have carp to over 50lbs and catfish topping 100lbs. Please make sure you have the experience and equipment to fish our waters.

Rules:

Please read our rules carefully.



Day session runs from 7am to 7pm

Night session runs from 7pm to 7am

Please do not arrive more than 2 hours earlier than your pm session starting

Dip your nets mats slings and bait boats for at least 15 minutes before leaving the car park.

Dipping equipment is required to ensure that our fish are not exposed to diseases such as KHV.

The penalty for members walking past the tanks by the Wendy House without dipping their nets, mats and slings is a ban. No excuses.

If you have fished a water that has had KHV please purchase new equipment before fishing at Wintons.

Daily Tariff money to be paid on the morning of your first day.

Call the mobile 07922 526074 or pop in after 9am. We have a letter box for overnighters in the car park when the office is closed.

48 Hours notice is required for a cancellation. We have limited anglers per lake and if notice is not given you will be charged the full tariff. No shows will result in a membership ban.

Please do not book for friends. Each person must be responsible for their own booking and must be a member and comply with the rules. Group bookings of 3 or more need to pay a deposit and cancellation given of 7 days in advance.

Barbless hooks must be used at all times.

No treble hooks.

No Pallatrax Gripz.

NB Micro barbed or crushed hooks are not classified as barbless hooks.

No OMC Twig. No exceptions rig checks are carried out regularly.

Landing nets 50" minimum to be ready before fishing commences. 42" for Kingfisher only.

Extra large unhooking mats or cradles must be used at all times. Mat size 180cm. Cradles min 125cm. Catmaster mats and Fox cradles either standard or XL available in the shop.

2 rods only at anytime.

Rods must not be left unattended in any circumstances.

Anyone with baited lines in the water and not in front of their rods will be asked to leave.

Minimum 15lb mainline.

No wire to be used.

No braided mainline braid except for spod and marker rods.

No lead core.

No fixed leads.

Leads must be able to break free with minimum of force, lead clips are acceptable.

Fish to be held below knee level.

Wintons has the right to close swims and lakes for spawning and fish welfare.

Keep all nets mats and slings in the shade with your bucket of cool water ready to douse the mat and fish.

All fish to be returned to the water immediately after weighing.

Please be quick with your photo, A Maximum of 3 minutes.

At all times please respect the health and wellbeing of the fish.



Fish Care:

Photographs and video submitted, or photographs and video taken by the fishery, including professionals employed of yourself, become the property of Wintons Fishery. We reserve the right to use the photographs for publicity and our website.

No retaining fish at anytime.

Only weigh slings to be used for weighing fish.

Carp care kit or similar must be in your tackle box whilst fishing.

Keep in the net all damaged or sick fish and report to the Office 07922 526074 Stuart 07443 602372

Fishing area as pegged. No fishing in the area of the boathouse.

Bait boats can be used sensibly. Keep within your zone!

We do have a bait boat for hire for 24 Hours costs £25, and for 48 Hours costs £50.

Give us a call to reserve.

No fishing from islands or boats.

Sparingly used shelf life boilies.

Do not overbait your swim. You will not catch.

Please tell us in confidence if you see anyone over baiting.

No glugged loose feed.

Loose feed ground bait, sweetcorn, hemp, pellets and maize, but use maize in moderation allowed.

Particle bait is available from our tackle shop.

Only small artificial bait to be used eg maggot, sweetcorn and maize.

No baited hooks left unattended.

We take the welfare of our wildlife seriously.

No nuts.

NO FISH USED FOR LIVE BAITING. No dead baits used betwween October until March.

No lure fishing.

Pike fishing is not allowed unless permission has been granted from a bailiff.

If you find yourself in difficulty with a pike please ask for help we are more than happy to assist with this very delicate fish.

Members and guests are not allowed to bring dogs onto the Fishery premises.

No visitors to the lakes without agreement from the Office.

No Children under 10. 11+ with agreement from the office.

Wintons takes no responsibility for children onsite.

Please dont order takeaways to be delivered after 10pm.

Please wait in the car park for your delivery.

Alcohol allowed in moderation. Please be sensible.

Bailiffs are authorised to ask members to leave immediately if they are endangering their own or someone elses safety or enjoyment being under the influence of drink or drugs.

Anti social behaviour will not be tolerated.

This includes the use of illegal substances, if found in your possession this will be treated as a legal matter and the police called.

If you want to smoke weed whilst fishing do not apply for membership.

Please treat other anglers with politeness if you are unsure of a swims water please ask or look at the maps on the lake tab.

No noise, please respect other anglers and neighbours at all times.

Barbecues can be used. Please ensure they are lit off the ground and fully extinguished before leaving them unattended and dispose of them correctly before you leave the site.

Litter Use the litter bins provided. Or take it home! If we find rubbish left around your swim after you have left you will lose your membership.

WC only to be used. Please Respect the neighbours and do not use the bushes, especially along the banks of pegs 1 to 8 of Mallard Lake.

An Environment Agency Rod Licence to be purchased in order to Fish Wintons.

Wintons Fishery will support the Environmental Agency in any prosecutions.

Please keep to the 5mph limit on site for safety reasons.

Toilet The toilet and shower have been refurbished.

Please respect other anglers and leave it as you would like to find it.



Membership Acceptance of applications for Membership:

shall be at the sole discretion of Winton Fishery.

Kingfisher Lake is for experienced anglers only.

You must have at least 5 years experience in specimen angling and be capable of landing 40lb+ fish.

No juniors, Please speak to a bailiff before booking a place.

The rule is 4 members on the big side and 2 members on the small side.

New members must have spoken to a bailiff and had agreement before fishing Kingfisher.

Junior Membership 14 to 17 years only.

Membership for juniors is at the discretion of the fishery.

At the sole discretion of the head bailiff, younger members maybe allowed, provided they are with an experienced member and under their direct supervision at all times.

Applying for a junior membership is not available online please call the office.

A signed disclaimer from the responsible adult will be required before any fishing commences.

Juniors 14 to 17 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times and cannot fish unsupervised.

Which means one swim and one rod each.

Juniors are not able to fish Kingfisher under any circumstances.

Wintons Fishery reserves the right to close all or parts of said complex at anytime.

Expulsion Wintons Fishery may expel any member for conduct which in their opinion is injurious or tends to be injurious to the interests of Wintons Fishery, its staff, rules or its Members.

An expelled Member shall forfeit all rights and privileges of membership but shall remain liable for any due or debts to Wintons Fishery which became payable or were incurred before the date of expulsion. Bailiffs have the authority to ban on the spot or give a warning. No refunds for expelled members.



SAFETY of our members is paramount:

1. Please take the greatest care when driving in and out of the complex and note the maximum 5mph speeding rule at all times.

2. Remember we have DEEP WATER which is dangerous if care and common sense are not used. We are all responsible for our own safety. Swimming is not allowed.

3. Take care on uneven ground, use steps not slopes and wear appropriate footwear at all times

4. Please use head torches during twilight and darkness. No head torch beams across the water.

5. Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with the maps of where buoyancy aids are located on the complex Lakes Page.



Indemnity:

The member will indemnify Wintons Fishery against all claims proceedings costs and expenses arising from or in connection with the grant of the Membership, except to the extent that the same is shown to have been caused by the negligence of Wintons Fishery or his employees or agents, provided that Wintons Fishery may not settle or compromise any such claims or proceedings without consent of the Member.

Wintons Fishery shall not be liable to the Member nor visitors for any personal injury damage loss or inconvenience however or wherever caused to them or to any goods or chattels brought by them to Wintons Fishery except to the extent that the same is shown to have been caused by the negligence of Wintons Fishery or his employees or agents.

Please be aware your details will be kept on our database. Your information will be stored securely.

By becoming a member of Wintons Fishery you give us consent to storing your information during the length of your membership and for a reasonable duration after your membership has expired.

CCTV is in operation 24 hours a day.

Please tell us if you see any rules being broken.

Any subject not covered in these rules is at the sole discretion of the bailiffs or owner.
