Description: The fishery at Chellow Dene (Allerton) is the top one of two old supply reservoirs to the Bradford area. It can be accessed from several points, but to the car driver it is best accessed from Chellow Lane. Park at the lane top near to the park entrance, but not blocking any access. You can walk round either side of the first lake and then up the dam wall to the top lake. The lakes banks are walled in to the water. The lake follows the steep contours of the valley right up to the inlet stream. It gradually deepens down to the dam wall with a depth of 20+ feet. The main species are roach, bream, carp, perch, tench, chub, orfe, bullhead and pike.
