Description: The whole area has been cleared of litter and rubbish. Volunteers have been clearing the area for the last two year. It a nice clean place to fish now with plenty of pegs available.
This is a very deep disused brick pit that offers free fishing, and as such the first thing that strikes you is the fact that it is full of litter and debris. That shouldnt put you off this place, and you can fish it with a clear conscience knowing that you won't be adding to the litter that is already there. To clear it all up would take a very long time. The largest fish in the water are the carp; both commons and mirrors that have allegedly been taken to 22lb 4oz. Every now and again the water will be fished by the specimen anglers with the rod pods. Don't neglect the margins, and floating bread can also be effective on bright days. There are also quite a number of Jack pike present and larger fish to over 20lb were taken within the last 3 years. Floated sea deadbaits, being the tactic to employ. Tench in the 2 to 4lb bracket are caught with larger fish allegedly taken to 10lb 8oz in the last 12 months. Perch to 4lb, with Roach to 3lb, chub to 4lb and finally eels to 6lb make up the rest of the stock.
